Artist's Description

When my folks lived here on Whidbey Island my Dad wanted to try his hand at gardening. He chose to grow tomatos which are notoriously difficult to grow in our Pacific Northwest climate. He had one tomato plant in a pot which he grew all summer long. In the end it sprouted two little tomatoes. I enhanced the image (artist's license and all) and "Dad's Tomato" was the resulting painting. It's a tribute to Dad's perseverance against the our fickle tomato climate.

About Stacey Neumiller

Stacey Neumiller

I delight in rural farm life. To me it’s the best possible way to live. But not everyone can or wants to live on a farm or in the country. That’s where my art comes in. I paint my vision of what rural farm life embodies: animals, birds, crops, fresh air, fragrant grass and of course, red barns. All of these things ground me and make me whole. With my art, it’s my goal to share my connection to this pure, simple lifestyle so you can enjoy it in your own home. To start your collection, browse through the images below and click on the one that you'd like to see in your kitchen, living room or bedroom. From there you'll be able to customize art purchase.
