Artist's Description

When I first grew some corn, while living in Napa, California, I was struck by how sculptural the stalks were. It was just begging to be painted. I'm not the only artist who has been captivated by corn. Grant Wood one of my favorite artists, also used this beautiful plant as subject matter. Like pumpkins, corn is very rewarding to grow. As the song says it grows as "high as an elephant's eye" and pretty darn quickly.

About Stacey Neumiller

Stacey Neumiller

I delight in rural farm life. To me it’s the best possible way to live. But not everyone can or wants to live on a farm or in the country. That’s where my art comes in. I paint my vision of what rural farm life embodies: animals, birds, crops, fresh air, fragrant grass and of course, red barns. All of these things ground me and make me whole. With my art, it’s my goal to share my connection to this pure, simple lifestyle so you can enjoy it in your own home. To start your collection, browse through the images below and click on the one that you'd like to see in your kitchen, living room or bedroom. From there you'll be able to customize art purchase.
