Artist's Description
The image of geese strolling along in a line had been in my mind ever since I set my eyes on these funny fowl. After I completed the painting, I was struck at how this reminded me of a sargent in the army training his troops. Hence the title, "Forward, March!".
About Stacey Neumiller
I delight in rural farm life. To me it’s the best possible way to live. But not everyone can or wants to live on a farm or in the country. That’s where my art comes in. I paint my vision of what rural farm life embodies: animals, birds, crops, fresh air, fragrant grass and of course, red barns. All of these things ground me and make me whole. With my art, it’s my goal to share my connection to this pure, simple lifestyle so you can enjoy it in your own home. I love geese and ducks - such characters. I love this painting, Stacey, it reminds me of images from childhood storybooks that were much loved and dog-eared from use. Indeed all your paintings are terrific. Bright Blessings
